Fiber Craft Camp for Kids Ages 6-12

Activity Description: Welcome to the Fiber Craft Camp, a week-long creative adventure designed for children aged 6-12! Our camp runs from 1 PM to 5 PM each day, offering a fun-filled afternoon of crafting activities where kids can explore various fiber arts and create unique projects to take home.

Daily Schedule: Monday: Wet Felting - Introduction to Wet Felting: Campers will learn the basics of wet felting, using soap, water, and wool to create colorful felted pieces. - Project: Design and make felted soap Tuesday: Punch Needle - Introduction to Punch Needle: Children will discover the art of punch needle embroidery, creating textured designs with yarn and punch needles. - Project: Create a punch needle coaster Wednesday: Embroidery - Introduction to Embroidery: Campers will be introduced to basic embroidery stitches and techniques. - Project:Embroider a small hoop art piece or a personalized fabric bookmark. Thursday: Sewing - Introduction to Sewing: Kids will learn hand sewing and basic machine sewing (if age-appropriate and with supervision). - Project: Sew a simple fabric pouch or a small stuffed toy. Friday: Weaving - Introduction to Weaving:Campers will explore basic weaving techniques using small looms. - Project: Weave a colorful bracelet or a mini wall tapestry. Additional Activities:

• Daily Craft Explorations: In addition to the main projects, each day will include time for free crafting with a variety of materials such as beads, buttons, fabric scraps, and more.
• Creative Breaks: Campers will enjoy short breaks with snacks (provided by parents) and outdoor playtime to refresh and inspire creativity.

Take Home: At the end of each day, campers will proudly take home their finished project, showcasing their new skills and creativity. By the end of the week, they will have a collection of handmade crafts to treasure and share.
